Align and Bloom

It’s shameless self promotion time. But really, what’s the point of having a podcast or a blog if you can’t do that once in a while?


On 11/11/23 I fulfilled a lifelong dream and published Align and Bloom: How to Dig into the Soil of Your Soul, Release the Blockages for Growth, and Bloom into Your Authentic Self (yes, it’s a long title LOL). It is a personal development book that shares my approach to healing emotional issues, trauma, and living an energy conscious and spiritually guided life. This book is a physical representation of the most authentic parts of myself and how I aim to live.


Much like a person would, Align and Bloom has gone through many different phases of growth. I started writing it back in 2020 when the pandemic was raging and there wasn’t much to do but stay home and think, or watch The Tiger King. I did both. I felt called by my spiritual team to take the lessons I had learned from my own healing work to write a book to help others.


But then life happened. Every aspect of my existence transformed, and I had MUCH more healing work to do before I could truly align with the words I wrote. I picked the manuscript up again in July of this year, edited it and added new sections to document my current healing journey. Throughout the years of being a seeker on a quest for Love and truth, I can safely say, my life is so much better for digging in deep, uncovering my blocks, and connecting in with my spiritual self.


The foundations of this book and healing methods are this: we are made of many different parts of self, and through conscious connection and intention, we can release fear, trauma, and pain, and align with Love, joy, peace and truth. Parts of self are what others refer to as “ego”, “shadow” or sometimes “inner child”. They essentially mean the same things - our experiences in this lifetime (and others) create separation in our consciousness, and these parts influence how we think, feel, behave, and approach life.


Everyone has different parts. I use the example often of how a part of me loves to eat sweets and wants to eat ice cream for breakfast, while other parts of me prefer to eat healthy, want to honor my body, and provide it with nourishment. Both desires are coming from me, just different parts of my consciousness. Becoming aware of our parts’ wants, needs, desires, and fears helps us to live more intentionally, and make aligned decisions rather than be reactive to life’s triggers.


This takes consistent work, and the work, unfortunately, is never done. But the more that you engage with these practices, the easier it is to get in alignment, and co-create the life you want to live. I won’t try to pretend this is easy work, because it is not. I’ve had many sessions of working with my parts of self that resulted in tears and deep catharsis. While it is uncomfortable at the moment, the release of this emotional energy creates powerful shifts.


Working with parts of self has been life changing for me and some of the people I coach. I am definitely not the same person I was when I started writing the book in 2020. And I hope that in three years, I will be even healthier, happier (and wealthier) than I am now. Each day I continue to look inside of myself, clear my blockages, expand, grow, and align with my authentic self, and bloom into the person I want to be. My hope is that this book will help others open to their authenticity and live out their highest vision, too.
